UP plans 10,000 Go Mitras to involve Gen Z in cow protection

The government of Uttar Pradesh, a state in India, wants to teach young people, especially Gen Z, about taking care of cows.

They plan to train about 10,000 people called Go Mitras, which means 'friends of cows'.

These Go Mitras will work in villages across the state.

The training will cover how to protect cows, care for animals, and use natural farming.

The program is run by a special group called the Uttar Pradesh Go Seva Commission.

First, master trainers will be trained, and then they will teach others.

People who already care about cow protection will be chosen first.

This way, more young people will learn to help and protect cows.
