Uttar Pradesh Expands Free E-Tricycle Scheme for Divyang Students
The Uttar Pradesh government wants to help girls with disabilities travel to school and training centers.
It plans to give free battery-powered tricycles to 8,060 students.
The program will cover all 403 Assembly constituencies in the state.
Twenty students will be chosen from each constituency.
Students must have a disability level of at least 40 percent.
They must also be studying or training at a recognized institution.
Applicants must be at least 16 years old and provide the required documents.
The government says the vehicles will make it easier for students to continue their education and become more independent.

Students with at least 40 percent disability who are studying or training may qualify.
Twenty students will be selected from each of the state’s 403 Assembly constituencies.
Each e-tricycle will be provided free of cost and valued at up to ₹65,000.
Applicants must be at least 16, hold a disability certificate or UDID card, and apply through district officers or the government portal.
