Gujarat Gaushalas Make Vedic Rakhis From Cow Dung

Some cow shelters in Surat are making special bracelets called Vedic Rakhis.

These bracelets are for the Raksha Bandhan festival.

The makers are using cow dung and cow urine to prepare them.

They say the project is part of a campaign for cows.

The campaign wants cows to receive the title “Rashtramata,” meaning Mother of the Nation.

Thousands of the bracelets are reportedly being made.

The organizers plan to give them to people.

They hope this will encourage more people to join the campaign.
