Delhi Lakshmi Yojana Aid Letters Begin August 26
Delhi has started a program called the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana to help eligible women.
It will provide ₹2,500 each month.
Women who qualify will begin receiving official letters on August 26, 2026.
The money is expected to start reaching bank accounts on September 1.
Usually, ₹1,500 will be saved in an RD or FD until July 31, 2029.
The rest will be placed in a digital wallet for everyday needs.
The wallet cannot be used for items such as alcohol, tobacco, drugs, gambling or lottery tickets.
Women can keep applying throughout the year, and the government plans to let applicants correct mistakes online.
