Maharashtra Approves ₹23.33 Crore Aid for 17,245 Damaged-Crop Farmers
Maharashtra has approved money to help farmers whose crops were damaged.
The damage happened because of heavy rain, floods, cyclones and hailstorms.
A total of 17,245 farmers will share ₹23.33 crore.
The aid covers more than 11,207 hectares of damaged crops.
The largest share will go to farmers in Amravati division.
The money will be sent directly to farmers’ bank accounts.
Banks must not use the money to repay old loans.
Officials must also make sure nobody receives the payment twice and must publish the beneficiary lists online.
Maharashtra sanctioned ₹23.33 crore for 17,245 farmers affected by crop damage in June and July 2026.
The damage was caused by excessive rainfall, floods, cyclones and hailstorms across the state.
The aid covers 11,207.79 hectares and will be transferred directly through the DBT system.
Amravati division received the largest allocation: ₹13.80 crore for 9,683 farmers.
Officials were told to prevent loan deductions and duplicate payments, then publish beneficiary details online.
