The project includes a high-energy linear accelerator and a CT scan machine.
The linear accelerator will provide 6 MV and 15 MV radiation energy levels for more targeted treatment.
Kakinada GGH currently treats about 25 patients daily using a telecobalt machine.
The upgraded facility is expected to serve 60 to 70 patients daily, with eligible patients treated free of cost.
