Kerala leaders' Independence Day message: protect Constitution, secular values
India celebrates its Independence Day every year to remember when the country became free.
Two leaders from Kerala shared messages for this special day.
Their names are V D Satheesan and Pinarayi Vijayan.
They both asked everyone to protect the Constitution, which is the important set of rules for the country.
They said people should stay together and not fight over religion or caste.

Satheesan described the Constitution as 'the foundation of the country' and asked people to be at the forefront of protecting it and the unity of India.
Vijayan said India had completed 79 years of independence after breaking the 'chains of imperialism' and urged serious introspection instead of reducing the 80th Independence Day to a mere celebration.
Vijayan warned of deliberate attempts to divide people in the name of caste and religion and highlighted unemployment, price rise and growing economic inequality.
