V.D. Satheesan said the Communist Party of India (Marxist) was having disagreements after losing badly in the Assembly elections.

He said the party’s own review of the election had caused more arguments.

He also said there were differences between the CPI(M) and its coalition partner, the Communist Party of India.

Satheesan accused groups connected to the CPI(M) of protesting in public to distract people from these problems.

He said Kerala would create three special courts to handle drug cases faster.

The government also extended some school-teacher job lists by six months.

Satheesan said flood-relief money would be released soon.

He also discussed official ceremonies, women’s participation in public life, a Messi-related tax case, and Kerala’s financial limits.
