UP Governor Pays Tribute to Security Personnel Killed Fighting Naxalism

India has a special day called Independence Day, a bit like the country's birthday.

On this day, leaders remember how India became free and give speeches.

The Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Anandiben Patel, gave a speech in Lucknow.

She remembered brave soldiers and police officers who died fighting a dangerous group called Naxalites.

When she was Governor of Chhattisgarh, she saw how difficult life was there — many children could not go to school.

She said the government is now helping those areas with jobs, hospitals and schools.

She also said everyone must work together to help poor people.

The Governor raised the Indian flag and put flowers on the statue of Mahatma Gandhi.

She talked about a special song called 'Vande Mataram' that was banned long ago but still made people feel proud.

Everyone sang the song together and promised not to misuse drugs.
