BJP's Team Nitin Nabin In Place, Why Government May Now Opt For A Reshuffle · NDTV

In India, the national government is thinking about changing its team of important ministers.

That is called a cabinet reshuffle.

The ruling party, the BJP, wants to be ready for elections in seven states in 2027.

Many new politicians have joined the government's big group, the NDA.

Some came from parties in West Bengal and Maharashtra.

Because there are so many new members, some of them might get important government jobs.

A few ministers have already left the team.

Two more might leave later this year when their time in parliament ends.

One minister also got a new job as the party's money-keeper, so people wonder if he will keep his government job too.

Some state governors are also finishing their jobs, which means new people may be picked for them.
