President Murmu hails Naxal-free India, approves 78 gallantry awards
India has a special birthday called Independence Day.
The President of India is a leader who gave a big speech to everyone.
She said that India is now free from Naxalism, which was a problem in some parts of the country.
Because of this, those areas can now grow and improve.
She also said that everyone should benefit from India's progress.
India hopes to become a very developed country by the year 2047.
The President also gave special medals to brave soldiers and police officers.
Some medals were given to heroes who died for the country.
These medals thank them for being courageous.
President Droupadi Murmu addressed the nation on the eve of the 80th Independence Day, calling India's Naxal-free status a major achievement.
She said "all-inclusive" development is now underway in regions once affected by Naxalism.
Murmu said India is moving toward building a "Viksit Bharat" by 2047 and that development benefits must reach every person.
She approved 78 Gallantry awards for Defence Forces and Central Armed Police Forces personnel, including 13 posthumous awards.
The awards include 9 Kirti Chakras, 1 Bar to Shaurya Chakra, 19 Shaurya Chakras, 5 Bars to Sena Medals, 36 Sena Medals, 3 Nao Sena Medals and 5 Vayu Sena Medals.
