Mumbai Road Concretisation Work To Resume In October After Monsoon Withdrawal, Says BMC · freepressjournal.in

Mumbai stopped major road concreting during the rainy season.

This was done so rain would not damage the concrete or affect its quality.

The city plans to restart the work in October.

Contractors have been asked to begin within the first five days of the month.

The weather department usually expects the monsoon to leave Mumbai around October 8.

Work is still pending on 590 roads, covering about 138 kilometres.

Some roads have not been started, while others are only partly finished.

The entire project is estimated to cost ₹17,000 crore.
