JSW Combat SUV Spied Alongside Mahindra Thar Roxx
JSW Motors is testing a new boxy SUV in India.
The vehicle is widely expected to be called the Combat.
It was seen next to a Mahindra Thar Roxx, making it easier to compare their sizes and shapes.
Both vehicles look designed for rugged driving and have spare wheels at the back.
The JSW SUV appears wider and longer than the Thar Roxx based on overseas Jetour T2 measurements.
Its test vehicle also showed a warning about automatic braking.
The Combat may use a plug-in hybrid system instead of the Thar Roxx’s petrol and diesel engines.
JSW Motors is expected to launch it next month, although its name and final Indian specifications have not been officially confirmed.

The two SUVs share upright windscreens, boxy shapes, pronounced wheel arches and tailgate-mounted spare wheels.
The JSW prototype has rectangular headlamp housings, vertically oriented tail-lamps and an enclosed spare-wheel cover.
Using overseas Jetour T2 figures, the Combat could be about 4,785 mm long, 2,006 mm wide and 1,870 mm high.
The SUV is expected to use the Jetour T2 i-DM plug-in hybrid system and launch next month through local assembly in Maharashtra.
