Rajamahendravaram maths teacher selected for Finland training programme
A maths teacher from India has been chosen for a very special trip to Finland.
Her name is Moturi Mangarani and she teaches at Lalacheruvu Municipal Corporation High School in Rajamahendravaram.
She won the State Best Teacher Award in September 2025.
Because she is such a good teacher, she was picked to join 28 other teachers from the state.
The group will travel to Finland to learn new ways to help young students read, count and learn better.
The training will happen from August 17 to 26.
First, the teachers got ready with help from experts at the University of Turku.
Then they will visit the cities of Turku and Rauma to see how schools there work.
After they return home, university professors will keep helping them online.
The teachers will use what they learned to make their own classrooms better.
Moturi Mangarani, a mathematics teacher at Lalacheruvu Municipal Corporation High School in Rajamahendravaram, was selected for an FLN training programme in Finland.
She is among 29 State Best Teachers chosen for the international training programme and will leave for Finland on August 15.
The training, scheduled from August 17 to 26, aims to strengthen foundational literacy, numeracy and learning skills among primary-level students.
The three-phase programme included preparatory training in Vijayawada with experts associated with the University of Turku.
In the third phase, University of Turku professors will monitor the teachers online and guide them in implementing projects in their schools.
