RIMS Adilabad to Administer Cardiac Stents to Patients
A hospital in a town called Adilabad is starting a new heart treatment.
The hospital is called RIMS, which stands for Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences.
Some people have a condition where the small tubes in their heart, called arteries, get narrow.
Doctors can put in a tiny net-like tube called a stent to help open them up.
Soon, doctors at this hospital will be putting stents in heart patients.
The director of the hospital, Jai Singh Rathod, told people about this news.
He asked patients with heart problems to come to the hospital for help.
A doctor named Mohammed Zakria is the head of the heart department there.
He said that last month, 50 patients had a special heart test called an angiogram.
The hospital also helps people with cancer and thyroid problems.
RIMS, Adilabad will soon begin implanting stents in cardiac patients at its super-speciality hospital.
RIMS director Jai Singh Rathod announced the plan on Tuesday and appealed to patients to avail the cardiac services.
The super-speciality hospital also provides treatment to cancer and thyroid patients.
Dr Mohammed Zakria, head of the cardiac department, said 50 patients underwent angiogram tests at the hospital last month.
The cardiac department is currently conducting 2D echo and angiogram tests.
