NIMS to Offer Free Heart Surgeries for Children from August 13

A big hospital in Hyderabad, India, is going to help children with heart problems.

For one week starting August 13, doctors will perform heart operations for free, meaning families do not have to pay any money.

The hospital is called NIMS.

Some special heart doctors from London are also coming to help with the surgeries.

Parents can bring their children to the hospital without making an appointment first.

They should come between 8 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon, any day from Monday to Saturday.

Doctors will check each child and decide who needs an operation based on medical need.

If a child needs surgery, it will be given completely free.

The money for these operations comes from government funds that help sick people.

This is not the first time this has happened, because the hospital has held this programme every year for the past five years.

So far, 60 children have already received heart operations through this programme.
