Health Minister JP Nadda Admitted to AIIMS Delhi After Uneasiness

Mr. JP Nadda is a very important government minister in India who is in charge of keeping people healthy.

One day, he did not feel well, so he went to a big hospital called AIIMS.

The doctors wanted to make sure his heart was okay, so they did a special test called a coronary angiography.

This test takes pictures of the small tubes that carry blood to the heart to see if any of them are blocked.

To do it, doctors put a very thin tube into an artery and use special dye and X-rays.

The doctors said he is stable now and he is staying in the hospital so they can keep a close watch on him.

Before he got unwell, he was leading efforts in India to fight a lung disease called TB.

He asked members of parliament to help find and treat people with TB in their local areas.

India has made big progress — far fewer people are getting TB than before, and most patients get better.

The hospital visit happened just one day after that important meeting about TB.
