Owaisi Questions IIT Delhi Convocation Protocol Over Bowing, Vedic Mantras
‘Students Told How Low To Bow To PM Modi, Stand During Vedic Mantras’: Owaisi Questions IIT Delhi Convocation Protocol · freepressjournal.in

In India, there is a big school called IIT Delhi where students finished their studies and got degrees.

A very important leader, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, came to celebrate with them.

He gave medals to the best students.

More than three thousand students graduated that day.

But another leader, Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi, was not happy about some of the rules for that special day.

He said students were told exactly how low to bow when they met the Prime Minister.

He also said students had to stand up while old Indian prayers called Vedic mantras were sung.

Mr. Owaisi thinks schools paid for by the government should not have religious prayers because of the country's rules.

He also thinks students should be free to ask questions.

He told students that if the government does something wrong, they should speak up against it.
