India-Jamaica Ties Highlighted During Jamaican National Day Celebration

Pabitra Margherita attended a celebration for Jamaica in New Delhi.

She sent India’s good wishes to Jamaica’s government and people.

She also said India wants to make its relationship with Jamaica stronger.

Earlier, S Jaishankar visited Jamaica in May.

This was the first bilateral visit there by an Indian External Affairs Minister.

India and Jamaica discussed working together in areas such as health, education, farming, technology, and tourism.

India also offered Jamaica medical equipment, fishing boats, and GPS devices.

The two countries signed three cooperation agreements and discussed training and scholarships.
