Delhi Extends Pink Ticket Facility for Women Until September 30

The Delhi government is giving women more time to use paper pink tickets for free bus travel.

This extension lasts until September 30.

The tickets can be used on DTC and cluster buses.

From October 1, women will need to tap a valid Pink Saheli Smart Card instead.

Women without the card will have to buy a regular bus ticket.

About 19 lakh women have already used the smart-card facility.

The government has opened 50 authorised centres and will spread information about the cards.

Women can still register and get cards after September 30 through designated facilities.
