MSRTC Makes NCMC Cards Mandatory for Women, Senior Citizens

The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation is changing how some passengers get cheaper bus tickets.

From September 1, women and people aged 65 to 75 must use an NCMC card for the discount.

The card must be registered and have enough money added to it.

MSRTC says about 1.11 crore passengers have registered so far.

People who have not registered should contact an ST depot.

Senior citizens older than 75 do not have to follow the new rule yet.

Their registration has been delayed because some people had trouble with fingerprint checks.

The new system is meant to make checking and issuing discounted tickets digital and easier.
