Women Offered Free AMA Bus Rides Across Seven Odisha Cities
On August 27, women will be able to ride AMA buses without paying a fare.
This special offer is being provided for Raksha Bandhan.
It will be available in seven cities in Odisha.
The cities include Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, Rourkela, Sambalpur, Berhampur and Kendujhar.
Women will still need to get a zero-fare ticket.
CRUT expects nearly one lakh women to use the offer.

It also hopes more people will use buses to help reduce traffic and pollution.
Women can travel free on all AMA Bus services across seven Odisha cities on August 27.
The fare-free service will operate throughout the day in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, Rourkela, Sambalpur, Berhampur and Kendujhar.
CRUT expects nearly one lakh women commuters to benefit from the initiative.
Women must still obtain mandatory zero-fare tickets while using the buses.
CRUT said the program supports safe, reliable mobility for women and encouraged public transport use to reduce congestion and emissions.
