Delhi wettest August day; IMD predicts more light rain

In Delhi, a big city in India, it rained a lot for four days in a row.

Last Saturday was the rainiest August day the city has seen in two years.

In just the first eight days of August, Delhi got more rain than it usually gets in the whole month.

The rain made puddles on roads and caused traffic problems in the area around Delhi.

A group of weather scientists called the IMD watches the weather and tells people what is coming.

The IMD said Sunday would be mostly cloudy with some very light rain in Delhi.

It also warned about heavy rain in other states like Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

The IMD asked people there to stay alert, avoid unnecessary travel and not take shelter under trees.
