Bengaluru Announces Shivajinagar Traffic Curbs for St. Mary’s Jayanti
Bengaluru traffic police changed traffic rules in Shivajinagar for a religious celebration.
The event included St. Mary’s Jayanti and flag-hoisting at Our Lady of Health.
Many devotees were expected to attend.
Because of this, some roads were closed to buses and other vehicles.
The changes were planned from 1 p.m.
to 10 p.m.
on Saturday.
Buses had to use different routes to reach Shivajinagar bus station.
Parking was not allowed in several busy areas.
People were told to use special parking places instead.
Traffic restrictions in Shivajinagar were scheduled from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday.
BMTC buses and other vehicles were barred from several routes near Shivajinagar and Select Junction.
Parking was prohibited around Russell Market, Broadway Road, Infantry Road and Cubbon Road.
Alternative parking was provided at Chota Maidan, Shivajinagar bus station and other listed locations.
The restrictions were issued because thousands of devotees were expected for St. Mary’s Jayanti and flag-hoisting ceremonies.
