Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad Announce Eid-e-Milad Traffic Curbs and Diversions
Police are changing traffic routes because Eid-e-Milad processions will take place on Wednesday.
A large procession in Pune will travel through several roads from Nana Peth to Shukrawar Peth.
Another procession will take place in Khadki.
Pimpri-Chinchwad will also have processions and road restrictions.
Some roads will be closed or redirected as the processions move.
Cars cannot park along the procession routes.
Drivers should use other roads and avoid the procession areas.
Restrictions in Pimpri, Nigdi and Chikhali will last from noon until midnight.
Vehicles used for essential services can be allowed through when needed.
Traffic restrictions and diversions will be imposed across Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad on Wednesday for Eid-e-Milad processions.
Pune’s main procession will travel from Manushah Masjid in Nana Peth to City Jama Masjid in Shukrawar Peth.
Parking will be prohibited along the main procession route and within 100 metres of connecting roads and lanes.
A separate procession in Khadki will travel from Tikaram Chowk to Jama Masjid in Khadki Bazaar.
Restrictions in Pimpri, Nigdi and Chikhali will operate from noon to midnight, with essential services exempted when required.
