Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad Announce Eid-e-Milad Traffic Curbs and Diversions

Police are changing traffic routes because Eid-e-Milad processions will take place on Wednesday.

A large procession in Pune will travel through several roads from Nana Peth to Shukrawar Peth.

Another procession will take place in Khadki.

Pimpri-Chinchwad will also have processions and road restrictions.

Some roads will be closed or redirected as the processions move.

Cars cannot park along the procession routes.

Drivers should use other roads and avoid the procession areas.

Restrictions in Pimpri, Nigdi and Chikhali will last from noon until midnight.

Vehicles used for essential services can be allowed through when needed.

Begins at Manushah Masjid, 482 Nana Peth, and concludes at City Jama Masjid in Shukrawar Peth.
Khadki procession
Runs from Tikaram Chowk through DR Gandhi Chowk and Saral Juni Maharashtra Bank Chowk to Jama Masjid in Khadki Bazaar.
Parking restriction
Parking is prohibited along the procession route and within 100 metres inside the mouths of connecting roads and lanes.
Pimpri-Chinchwad timing
Restrictions in Pimpri, Nigdi and Chikhali will apply from noon to midnight on Wednesday.
Pune morning diversion
Traffic from ISKCON Temple Chowk toward the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar statue and Arora Tower may be stopped and diverted from 9 am.
Advice to motorists
Drivers have been advised to avoid procession routes and use alternative roads.
Exemptions
Essential-service vehicles may be exempted from restrictions as required.
