Mumbai Water Stock Rises to 88.58%

Mumbai's water supply comes from seven big lakes.

On July 30-31, these lakes were holding 88.58% of their total water.

This is a small increase from the day before.

The total amount of water was about 12.8 trillion litres.

The Bhandup Complex, which watches the water system, got 3 millimetres of rain in the last 24 hours.

Because of this rain, the lakes are filling up a bit more.

The weather office says more rain is expected, so they warned people in Mumbai and Thane that it might get a bit wet.

They also warned that places like Palghar and Raigad could get heavy rain in some spots.

The biggest lake, Modak Sagar, is completely full, while others like Tansa and Bhatsa are almost full too.

This means the city has a good amount of water for now.
