Hyderabad Black Hawks Open Goa Guardians Trophy With 3-0 Win
The Hyderabad Black Hawks is a volleyball team, and they started a big youth tournament called the Goa Guardians Trophy.
They played against a team from Bengaluru and won the match without losing a single set.
In volleyball, each set is usually played to 15 points, and the Black Hawks won 15-8, 15-13 and 16-14.
Before the tournament, the team held tryouts to find talented young players.
About 180 young players registered, and 105 of them actually came to try out in Vijayawada.
Twelve players were chosen for the team, and four of them are from Telugu-speaking states such as Guntur, Visakhapatnam, Peddapalli and Warangal.
Ten volleyball teams are taking part in this tournament.
That gives young players a great chance to learn and compete at a higher level.
Hyderabad Black Hawks beat Bengaluru 3-0 in their opening Goa Guardians Trophy Under-21 match on Friday.
The Prime Volleyball League franchise's U-21 trials drew around 180 registrations, with 105 players taking part in Vijayawada.
Twelve players were shortlisted, including four from Telugu-speaking states: Karthik (Guntur), Dheeman (Visakhapatnam), Srunik (Peddapalli) and Akshith (Warangal).
Hyderabad won the sets 15-8, 15-13 and 16-14 to seal a straight-set victory.
Ten PVL teams are competing in the tournament, giving young players a platform to gain competitive experience.
