Dhule Draft Electoral Roll Removes Nearly 2.95 Lakh Names
Dhule district has published a new draft list of voters.
The list includes about 1.54 million people.
Nearly 295,000 names were taken off the list during a review.
Some people had died, moved away, or could not be found.
Others did not submit the required forms or were already registered.
People whose names are missing can ask to be added.
They can apply until September 30, including online.
The district also plans to increase the number of polling stations from 1,752 to 1,761.
Dhule’s draft electoral roll lists 1,540,268 voters: 791,338 men, 748,879 women and 51 transgender voters.
A total of 294,893 names were removed during the special intensive revision.
The removals included deceased, absent, permanently migrated and previously registered voters.
The five constituencies have between 263,800 and 354,711 voters in the draft roll.
People missing from the draft roll can apply for inclusion online or until September 30.
