About 5,000 workers at the Tirumala temple organisation received new clothes.

The distribution happened during the annual Brahmotsavams festival.

Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy and his wife, Vemireddy Prashanthi Reddy, provided the clothes.

The event took place at Vaibhavotsava Mandapam in Tirumala.

Many kinds of workers received them, including priests, cleaners, musicians and electricity workers.

The couple has carried out this activity for eight years.

They said the clothes were a way to thank and encourage the staff.

TTD officials thanked the couple for helping the employees and supporting the festival.
