Renovated Tirumala Museum Uses Technology to Showcase Historic Treasures
The Sri Venkateswara Museum in Tirumala has been renovated and reopened with many new displays.
It contains more than 8,000 old objects connected to the temple and its history.
Visitors can see statues, coins, paintings, temple vessels, photographs, and royal gifts.
One important object is a bell linked to Emperor Sri Krishnadevaraya.
The museum also shows copper plates carrying Annamacharya’s compositions.
New technology makes the exhibits more interactive through holograms, videos, sound, and 3D displays.
One gallery uses immersive technology to explain the universe and Lord Venkateswara’s cosmic form.
The museum is open from 8 a.m.
to 8 p.m., and regular entry costs ₹50.
The renovated Sri Venkateswara Museum in Tirumala displays more than 8,000 artefacts across 14 galleries.
Exhibits include Krishnadevaraya’s Dhupa Ganta, Annamacharya’s copper plates, temple vessels, sculptures, coins, and photographs.
Digital features include holograms, interactive screens, 360-degree sound, 3D projections, and digital archives.
The museum covers four floors and approximately 1.25 lakh square feet near Vaikuntam Queue Complex II.
Entry costs ₹50, while the Brahmandam immersive experience costs an additional ₹200.
