Four mandals in Kaikaluru to be excluded from MUDA · thehansindia.com

The government of Andhra Pradesh decided to change the area that a city planning group called MUDA looks after.

MUDA helps plan how cities and towns grow in a region.

The government took four small areas, called mandals, out of MUDA's care.

These areas are Kaikaluru, Kalidindi, Mandavalli and Mudinepalli.

Together, they have 101 villages.

Now MUDA will only look after two city bodies and nine mandals.

That means 169 villages across a large area.

The government says this change will make planning and administration better.

The new arrangement will start once it is printed in the official government newspaper.

This is part of a bigger change to how Krishna district is organised.
