Super Six Welfare Expansion Raises Andhra Pradesh Spending Commitments

Andhra Pradesh is expanding several welfare programs called the Super Six.

These programs give support to farmers, women, students, and households.

Farmers receive money from both the state and the PM-KISAN program.

Women can ride state buses for free, and millions of free journeys have already taken place.

Students are receiving education support through Thalliki Vandanam.

Families are also receiving help with cooking-gas costs through Deepam-2.

The government has spent additional money helping auto drivers and people with disabilities travel.

Because many people use these programs, they are becoming a large regular expense for the state.

Officials reviewed the programs at a Collectors’ Conference chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
