Anantapur LPG consumers must complete e-KYC by August 15

Many families in Anantapur use LPG, a gas that comes in cylinders for cooking.

The government now wants every one of those families to prove who they are.

To do this, they must complete a special identity check called e-KYC.

This check must be finished by August 15.

The request comes from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

If families do not finish in time, their gas connection may be switched off for a while.

People can do the check on phone apps like HP Pay, IndianOil ONE and Hello BPCL.

They can also do it at the gas agency or with the person who delivers cylinders.

Extra help is available through special camps and door-to-door visits, and the official in charge asks everyone to finish early so nobody runs out of gas.
