HYDRAA Rushes Lake Restoration Works Ahead Of Dasara
HYDRAA is improving two lakes in Hyderabad called Thammidikunta and Sunnam Cheruvu.
Officials have already cleared mud from the lakes and made them deeper.
They now need to finish planting greenery and building walking tracks.
They also must improve drains that carry rainwater into Sunnam Cheruvu.
A nearby Hanuman temple will also be developed.
Revanth Reddy may open the renovated lake areas during Dasara next month.
Thammidikunta is near Hitec City.
HYDRAA had earlier removed several constructions, including N Convention and other commercial encroachments, from the lake areas.
HYDRAA has directed officials to complete works at Thammidikunta and Sunnam Cheruvu lakes.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is expected to inaugurate the renovated lakes during Dasara next month.
Officials have removed silt and increased the depth of both lakes.
Remaining work includes greenery, walking tracks and other lake-area improvements.
HYDRAA also ordered development of stormwater drains and a temple beside Sunnam Cheruvu.
