Uppal Nalla Cheruvu Restoration Expected To Open In November
Nalla Cheruvu is a lake in Uppal, Hyderabad.
It was badly affected by encroachment, garbage and industrial waste.
Officials are restoring the lake and expanding its water area to 67.31 acres.
The work is expected to finish in about two months.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy may inaugurate it in November.

The lake, once reduced to less than 50 acres by encroachment, has been expanded to 67.31 acres.
The site was previously used as a garbage and industrial-effluent dumping ground.
Plans include stormwater inlets, outlet gates, a 2.4-kilometer bund and walking track.
Gazebos and playing areas are also planned as the lake is developed as a tourism and employment hub.
