Pune Autos Get New Fares, Night Surcharges And Luggage Fee
Pune has introduced new prices for auto-rickshaw rides.
The new fares also apply in Pimpri-Chinchwad.
The first 1.5 kilometres cost ₹30.
Each kilometre after that costs ₹20.
Rides between midnight and 5am cost 25% more in these cities.
Rural areas outside the cities can charge 40% more between 11pm and 5am.
Passengers may also pay ₹3 for sufficiently large luggage.
Drivers have until February 28, 2027, to update their meters.
Temporary fare cards can be used until that date.
Revised auto-rickshaw fares took effect across Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad on September 1.
Passengers must pay ₹30 for the first 1.5 km and ₹20 for each additional kilometre.
A 25% night surcharge applies from midnight to 5am within Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad.
Autos in rural areas outside the municipal limits may charge a 40% surcharge from 11pm to 5am.
Drivers may charge ₹3 for luggage measuring at least 60 cm by 40 cm, while meters must be recalibrated by February 28, 2027.
