Foundation Laid for Rs 49.61-Crore Dachepalli Drinking Water Scheme
A new project is being started to bring drinking water to more homes in Dachepalli.
The project is part of AMRUT 2.0.
It will cost about Rs 49.61 crore.
Leaders laid a foundation stone to mark the start of the work.
Dachepalli has about 12,000 households.
Only around 3,100 households currently have water connections.
The project plans to connect another 4,300 households.
Buggavagu will be the main source of water.
Officials said the goal is to provide safe water to every household when needed.
A foundation stone was laid for an AMRUT 2.0 drinking water project in Dachepalli Nagara Panchayat.
The project is estimated to cost Rs 49.61 crore and aims to address drinking water shortages.
MP Lavu Sri Krishnadevarayalu and MLA Yaapathineni Srinivasa Rao attended the ceremony.
About 3,100 of Dachepalli’s 12,000 households currently have water connections.
The project is expected to add 4,300 connections, with Buggavagu serving as the primary water source.
