Uttarakhand Expands Women’s, Youth And Soldier Welfare Initiatives
Uttarakhand announced several programmes to support development and people’s welfare.
The Chief Minister announced 50 projects in Champawat costing ₹62.97 crore.
These projects include better roads, drinking water, irrigation and protection from floods.
The government also said it wants women to become educated, safe and financially independent.
It is promoting self-help groups and markets for products made by local women.
Police taught more than 1.75 lakh students how to stay safe online.
Students learned about scams, cyberbullying, deepfakes and suspicious links.
The state also created an employment cell for Agniveers after their military service.
It increased financial support and other assistance for soldiers’ families and martyrs.
Pushkar Singh Dhami announced 50 Champawat development projects worth ₹62.97 crore during the Mukhyamantri Sashakt Behna Utsav-2026.
The projects include roads, drinking water, irrigation, flood protection, bridges and religious tourism infrastructure.
Uttarakhand Police conducted a cyber-awareness programme for more than 1.75 lakh students from over 1,100 government schools.
The state said it has created an Agniveer Employment Cell and provides Agniveers 10% reservation in government services.
Uttarakhand increased assistance for martyrs’ families and expanded employment, memorial and property-related support for soldiers and ex-servicemen.
