India Targets Its Bharatiya Antariksha Station by 2035
India wants to build its own space station by 2035.
The station will be called the Bharatiya Antariksha Station.
ISRO Chairman V Narayanan said the first module has already been approved.
India is also working on Gaganyaan, a programme to send people into space.
Space technology already helps people in more than 50 areas.
These include television, communications, navigation, education and disaster warnings.
The announcement was made during India’s third National Space Day celebration in Ahmedabad.
The event also remembered Chandrayaan-3’s landing near the Moon’s south pole in 2023.
Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said private companies are creating new opportunities in the space industry while helping expand ISRO’s work.
