Karnataka CM announces 10 programmes to accelerate regional development
D.K. Shivakumar announced 10 new development programmes for Kalyana Karnataka.
He made the announcement in Kalaburagi during the region’s 79th Utsav Day.
The plans include giving people 50,000 sites and building an IT park.
A sports city and a campaign to plant one crore trees are also planned.
The government wants to improve health, roads, traffic safety and tourism.
It will also create a programme to help startups and young entrepreneurs.
Shivakumar said money has already been spent on thousands of development projects in the region.
He also said many new government jobs and educational opportunities would benefit local young people.

He said 32,000 of 72,000 newly filled government posts would go to youth from Kalyana Karnataka.
