Bengaluru Metro Yellow Line carries 3.8 crore riders in first year

The Namma Metro Yellow Line is a special train system in Bengaluru, a big city in India.

It connects a busy office area called Electronic City to other parts of the city.

The Yellow Line just finished its first year of running, like celebrating its first birthday.

In that one year, more than 3.8 crore people rode on it, which is a huge number.

At first, the line had only three trains, so people waited a long time, about 35 minutes.

Now it has ten trains, and during busy times a train comes every seven minutes.

The metro helps office workers get to work without using cars, which is better for the environment.

One company, Biocon, says its employees avoided 99 tonnes of carbon emissions by riding the metro.

The metro also works with buses to help people reach the stations.

This makes the roads less crowded and the city cleaner.
