Delhi Metro's Nabi Karim station creates rare same-line interchange

The Delhi Metro is a big train system that helps people move around Delhi.

Usually, each metro line has its own color and goes from one end of the city to the other.

Soon, two new parts of the same Magenta Line will meet at a new station called Nabi Karim.

To switch between these two parts, passengers will have to change trains at Nabi Karim.

One train goes toward RK Ashram Marg, and another goes toward Inderlok, even though both are called the Magenta Line.

That is why riders must check the signs before they get on.

The station has two different platform levels, one above the other.

The metro company, called DMRC, is using signs on walls and floors to help people find the right train.

At first, the plan was to make the Inderlok–Indraprastha route part of the Green Line, but later the plan changed.

The station is about 70 percent built, so it has not opened yet.
