Metro services altered for Independence Day across Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata

India's Independence Day is on August 15, and many people go to special celebrations.

To help everyone travel, the metro trains in three big cities made special plans.

In Delhi, the metro will open extra early, at 4 in the morning, so people can get to the big celebration.

Trains in Delhi will come every 30 minutes until 6 am, when normal service starts.

In Bengaluru, one metro station near a government building will be closed all day from 10 am to 9:30 pm for safety.

Trains will still pass that station in Bengaluru, but they will not stop there.

People can use two other nearby stations instead.

In Kolkata, one metro line called the Orange Line will not run at all on that day.

Other Kolkata lines will run with their usual timings, just some with different numbers of trains.

Special guests in Delhi got special QR tickets to ride the metro for free.

All travelers should check the changes before they go out on Independence Day.
