South Coast Railway Intensifies Water Safety Monitoring Across Stations, Colonies
South Coast Railway is checking drinking water in many railway places.
These places include stations, hospitals, schools, offices and staff colonies.
The checks are meant to make sure passengers and railway workers receive safe water.
From August 18 to September 24, teams tested water at 195 stations.
They checked nearly 12,790 samples for residual chlorine, and all were reported fit.
They also tested water for bacteria, and all 1,051 conclusive station tests passed.
Water in 68 colonies also passed the chlorine checks.
Railway officials say they will continue monitoring the water and fixing problems when needed.
South Coast Railway is conducting multi-tier water-quality checks across stations, establishments and residential colonies.
Testing between August 18 and September 24 covered 195 railway stations.
All 12,790 residual chlorine samples from the stations were reported fit.
Bacteriological tests found 1,051 of 1,051 conclusive station samples safe.
Residual chlorine tests across 68 colonies and bacteriological tests across 29 colonies recorded 100% fit results.
