South Coast Railway Adds Facilities at Rayanapadu Wagon Workshop

A senior railway official named Sandeep Mathur visited a railway wagon workshop in Vijayawada.

The workshop repairs and maintains railway wagons.

He looked at repair areas, overhaul lines, assembly sections, and wheel and bogie shops.

He checked whether the work was safe, high quality, timely, and productive.

He also reviewed plans to improve the workshop’s buildings and equipment.

Two new facilities were started during the visit.

One repairs cartridge tapered roller bearings, and the other cuts metal with a computer-controlled air plasma machine.

These facilities are expected to help the workshop maintain more wagons efficiently.

Railway officials also planted saplings to support cleanliness and environmental sustainability.
