South Western Railway is adding special trains for people travelling during Dasara.

The trains will connect Bengaluru with Mysuru and Ashokapuram.

The Bengaluru–Ashokapuram trains run on October 19, 20 and 21.

The Bengaluru–Mysuru train leaves late at night on October 16 through 20.

Its return service runs early in the morning from October 17 through 21.

These trains stop at several stations along the way.

Each train has eight coaches.

They are unreserved, so they give travellers another option during the busy festival period.

Ashokapuram-bound train
Train 06285 runs October 19–21; departs KSR Bengaluru at 12:15 pm and arrives at 3:40 pm.
Ashokapuram return
Train 06286 runs October 19–21; departs Ashokapuram at 4:10 pm and reaches KSR Bengaluru at 8 pm.
Mysuru-bound train
Train 06287 runs October 16–20; departs KSR Bengaluru at 9:15 pm and reaches Mysuru at 12:20 am the following day.
Mysuru return
Train 06288 runs October 17–21; departs Mysuru at 12:30 am and reaches KSR Bengaluru at 3:30 am.
Train composition
Both pairs of special trains will consist of eight MEMU coaches.
Service type
The special trains are unreserved.
Mysuru-route stops
Kengeri, Bidadi, Ramanagaram, Channapatna, Maddur, Mandya and Pandavapura.
