TG Govt raises upper age limit for police, fire and forest jobs · thehansindia.com

In a place called Telangana in India, the government made a new rule about certain jobs.

Jobs like police officer, firefighter, and forest worker are called uniformed services.

Normally, people have to be under a certain age to start these jobs.

Earlier, the government already gave people five extra years of age to apply.

Now it is giving two more extra years on top of that.

This means more people can now try to get jobs that will be advertised soon.

The change happened because many young people who could not find work asked for this help.

The new rule was written in an official order called GO Ms No 122.

The order was signed on August 14, 2026, and covers jobs like police, fire, prisons and forest departments.
