PM Modi Hails Jadumani Singh's Kargil Tribute, Pakistan Win

An Indian army soldier who is also a boxer won a silver medal at a big sports event called the Commonwealth Games.

His name is Jadumani Singh, and he is 22 years old.

He beat a boxer from Pakistan in an important match by a big margin.

This was special because it happened on Kargil Vijay Diwas, a day when India remembers its heroes from the Kargil War.

Jadumani decided to give his medal to the warriors who won that war.

India's leader, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said this was a wonderful and respectful thing to do.

Modi said Jadumani defeated the very team that needed to be beaten.

The soldier-boxer made the whole country proud.

In total, Indian boxers won ten medals at the games.
