Pathirage Wins Zurich Javelin As Chopra Reaches Finals

Chopra has already qualified for the Diamond League Finals.

Sri Lanka’s Rumesh Tharanga Pathirage won the 2026 Zurich Diamond League javelin with a 92.07m sixth attempt.
Anderson Peters of Grenada finished second with 86.93m, while Poland’s Dawid Wegner placed third.
Pathirage has also won in Ostrava, Doha and Lausanne during his breakthrough 2026 season.
He became Sri Lanka’s first Commonwealth Games javelin champion after throwing 89.75m in Glasgow.
