N Chandrasekaran's salary grew 14.1% CAGR as Tata chairman
N Chandrasekaran was the boss of a very big group of companies in India called Tata.
The Tata group makes many different things, like software, cars, watches, jewellery, and steel.
Mr. Chandrasekaran recently told everyone he will stop being the chairman, the top boss, after leading for many years.
While he was in charge, the Tata companies became worth almost three times more money than before.
But his own pay went up very fast, by about 14 percent every single year.
The money the whole group made did not grow nearly as fast.
In fact, the profit of the main company, Tata Sons, went down.
Some new Tata businesses, like Air India and Tata Digital, lost a lot of money.
Air India's losses became twice as big as the year before.
